A Nurturer at Heart
For more than 25 years, my life has revolved around caring for others. I began my career as a nanny, stepping into homes and becoming a steady, trusted presence. I helped with everything from daily routines and emotional support to keeping the many facets of household operations running smoothly.
Over time, my role naturally expanded into full household management. I found great satisfaction in creating order, calm, and comfort amid busy lives. It was during this time that I came to understand a truth that would later inspire Bringing Balance Home: when a home feels supportive and organized, every other aspect of life becomes more manageable.
When I began to move away from providing childcare professionally, I pursued a new path as a Licensed Massage Therapist. This allowed me to continue nurturing through massage and bodywork. I could now help clients focus on their physical and emotional well-being, offering overworked individuals a chance to slow down, heal, and reconnect with themselves.
Looking back, it's easy to see that while the job titles changed, the underlying mission never did. Whether caring for children, supporting households, or helping clients through bodywork, I have always been a nurturer at heart. That same spirit remains at the center of everything we do at Bringing Balance Home in Gilbert, Arizona.

Turning Experience Into a Local Gilbert Business
Once I began to recognize this pattern in my work, I started exploring how to turn my side hustle into something more sustainable. I had already been offering pet sitting and home support informally, but I wanted to build a real business that could deliver the high level of service and trust my clients deserved.
I was fortunate to win a scholarship through the Fresh Start Women’s Foundation to attend a Small Business Start-Up Certificate program at Paradise Valley Community College. Over the course of a year, I learned the practical side of entrepreneurship- business planning, marketing, operations, and finances. This experience gave me the structure I had been missing and helped me shape my years of hands-on experience into something intentional.
During that time, the early concept of Bringing Balance Home began to take shape. I could finally see how all of my experience- childcare, household management, massage, background support- fit under one umbrella. That program, along with my real-world experience, became the bridge between simply doing the work and building something that could grow.

What Bringing Balance Home Means to Me
When I landed on the name Bringing Balance Home, I wasn't thinking about specific services. I was thinking about the feeling it evokes.
Throughout my career, I've worked with people doing their best to keep up with the demands of everyday life- parents trying to juggle work and family, busy professionals stretched in too many directions, or devoted pet parents who need trusted care. Many are carrying too much with too little support.
I have learned is that balance doesn't come from having a perfect schedule, a spotless house, or a life free of challenges. Balance comes from having the right support at the right time.
Sometimes that support looks like reliable overnight pet sitting. Sometimes it comes from therapeutic massage or cranioacral therapy. Sometimes it's simply an extra set of hands to restore order when life feels overwhelming. All of it serves the same purpose, creating a little more peace, a little less stress, and more room for what matters most.
Bringing Balance Home is still growing and evolving. Some parts of the vision are already here, while others are still taking shape. That's one of the most exciting things about building something from the ground up.
